Privacy Policy

WildGrid is an outdoor discovery, planning and rental marketplace operated by Guardian Enterprise LLC (“WildGrid”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers mywildgrid.com and the services offered on it.

Account information. When you create an account we store your email address and the authentication records needed to sign you in. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.

Owner and listing information. If you list gear, we store what you enter about the item: title, description, category, area, photos, your rates, availability and pickup or delivery notes. You control this content.

Booking information. When you request a rental we store the listing, the dates, the message you send, the agreed price terms at the time of the request, and the status of the request through to completion or cancellation.

Planning information. Adventure plans you build are saved in your own browser storage on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly use a feature that sends the content of a plan for processing.

Technical information. Ordinary web request data such as IP address, browser type and timestamps, which our hosting infrastructure records to serve and secure the site.

Product analytics. We record a small set of named product events — for example that a search was started or a listing was viewed — with a limited set of non-identifying properties, so we can see where the service is failing people.

We do not collect or store full card numbers. Card details are entered with our payment processor and never reach WildGrid.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.

We do not infer or score protected characteristics, and we do not assign people an employability or human-value score.

To operate accounts, listings, booking requests and rental records.

To show a listing's public details to people browsing the marketplace, and to give an owner and a renter the information each needs to complete an agreed rental.

To send service messages about your account, your listings and your bookings.

To detect abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with legal obligations.

To improve the product using aggregate and event-level usage data.

Some features send text you provide — for example a question about a listing, or a road closure notice you paste in — to an AI model provider so it can produce an answer. We send only the text needed for that request along with the relevant public listing or conditions data.

We do not send your payment details, password or contact list to a model provider, and answers are generated from the material supplied rather than treated as professional, legal or safety advice.

Other users, to the extent a rental requires it: an owner sees the requests made on their listing, and a renter sees the listing owner's published details.

Service providers that run the service on our behalf — hosting, database and authentication, payment processing, email delivery and AI model processing — each limited to what their function requires.

Public authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.

A successor entity, if Guardian Enterprise LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, subject to this policy.

Account, listing and booking records are kept while your account is open and afterwards for as long as we need them for tax, accounting, dispute and legal purposes.

Product analytics events are kept in a reduced form for product analysis.

Plans saved in your browser stay on your device until you delete them or clear your browser storage.

You can view and edit your listings and account details while signed in, and you can delete plans stored in your browser at any time.

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated records, subject to records we must keep by law.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under local privacy law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Access to marketplace data is enforced at the database level, not only in the interface: owners see their own listings and requests, renters see their own bookings, and administrative data is restricted to administrators.

No service can promise perfect security. Use a strong, unique password and tell us if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

WildGrid is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date above. Material changes will also be communicated to account holders.
