Trust & safety
Short version: we are early, the limits are real, and we would rather tell you what we do not cover than imply we do.
What we can honestly say today
- · Listings from real owners are created and maintained by those owners. We do not inspect gear in person.
- · Listings marked sample are demonstration content. They cannot be booked, requested or paid for.
- · No listing on WildGrid is insured or protected by us. We do not carry rental coverage, and we will never label a category as covered without a real policy behind it.
Which categories can be booked
- · Bookable in this beta: tents, camp gear, camp kitchens, fishing gear and snow gear.
- · Temporarily closed for booking: bicycles, kayaks and canoes, paddleboards. You can still see them.
- · Closed entirely for now: motorised watercraft, ATVs and side-by-sides, trailers, campers, climbing hardware, firearms, guided experiences and anything hazardous.
Where booking is open
- · Bookings run in the Fargo, West Fargo and Horace area of North Dakota.
- · Owners outside that area can build and save a listing, but it stays in draft until we open their area.
- · These limits are enforced on our servers, not just hidden in the interface.
Money
- · Card payments run in test mode while we finish the payment account setup. The checkout screen says so plainly.
- · Payouts to owners are handled by hand today. We do not show owners earnings figures we cannot pay out.
- · A request only becomes a booking after the owner accepts and the payment clears.
If something goes wrong
- · Message the owner first through the booking — the thread is kept with the request.
- · If you cannot reach them, reply to your booking confirmation email and we will step in.
- · Rentals carry real risk. Check the gear before you leave, and do not use anything that looks damaged.
