Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Guardian Enterprise LLC (“WildGrid”) for using mywildgrid.com. By creating an account, listing an item or making a booking request, you accept them.

WildGrid is a marketplace and planning service. Rentals are agreements between the owner of the equipment and the person renting it. WildGrid is not the owner, the renter, or a party to the rental.

WildGrid is operating a controlled beta. Booking is currently open only in Fargo, West Fargo and Horace, North Dakota, and only in the equipment categories we have opened. These limits are enforced by our systems.

Some listings and areas are browse-only. Browsing an item is not an offer, a reservation or a promise that it can be rented.

Listings labelled as samples or inspiration are demonstration content created by WildGrid. They are not real inventory, are not owned by a real owner, and cannot be requested, booked or paid for.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us if your account is used without your permission.

You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

You may only list equipment you own or are authorised to rent out, and it must be in the condition you describe and safe for its intended use.

You set your own rates and availability and decide which requests to accept. WildGrid does not change your rate, discount it, or reprice a booking you have agreed.

Photos must be of the actual item. Listings must comply with the eligibility, category and safety rules published on the site and with applicable law.

You are responsible for any registration, licensing, tax or insurance obligations that apply to renting out your equipment.

A booking request is a request. It becomes a rental only when the owner accepts it and any required payment step is completed.

Inspect the equipment before you use it and do not use anything that looks damaged or unsafe. Use it as intended and as described in the listing, and return it on time and in the condition you received it.

You are responsible for loss of, or damage to, equipment you rent, and for following the owner's pickup, delivery and return arrangements.

WildGrid earns a 15% commission on the rental amount for bookings made through the marketplace. The rental amount, the commission and the expected proceeds are shown to the owner before a paid booking.

Card payments are handled by our payment processor. Card details are entered with that processor and are not stored by WildGrid.

Live card charging and owner payouts are not yet switched on. Until the payment account and payout setup are completed and announced, any payment step you see is limited to test mode and no real money moves. Do not treat a test-mode confirmation as a paid booking.

Either side may cancel a request before it is accepted. After acceptance, cancellations follow the terms shown on the booking and the owner's stated arrangements.

Where a payment has been taken and a booking is cancelled, refunds are processed through the same payment method, less any amount the booking terms state is non-refundable.

Conditions information on WildGrid — weather, water, closures and similar signals — comes from third-party public sources and is shown with its source and the time it was last checked. It may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable, and a source shown as not connected does not mean conditions are safe.

WildGrid is not an emergency service and does not replace official warnings. Always check official sources and use your own judgement.

Outdoor recreation carries inherent risks, including injury and death. You take part at your own risk and are responsible for your own preparation, skill, equipment checks and decisions.

WildGrid does not currently provide insurance, damage protection or a guarantee fund for rentals. Owners and renters deal with each other directly, and each should consider their own insurance.

Do not list or rent firearms, weapons, hazardous materials or anything unlawful. Do not misrepresent equipment or identity, scrape or overload the service, attempt to bypass our booking, area or category rules, or use WildGrid to harass another person.

We may suspend or remove a listing or account that breaks these rules.

You keep ownership of the text and photos you upload. You grant WildGrid a licence to host and display that content on the service so your listing can be found and understood.

You confirm you have the right to share the content you upload.

The service is provided as-is. We do not warrant that listings, owners, renters, conditions information or trips are error-free, uninterrupted or risk-free, and we do not inspect equipment in person.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Guardian Enterprise LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees WildGrid earned on the booking the claim relates to.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may change these terms as the service develops and will revise the effective date above; material changes will be communicated to account holders.

You may stop using WildGrid at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Dakota, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
