Agreements
Owner & renter agreements
Every booking on WildGrid is covered by two agreements: the renter confirms theirs when they send a request, and the owner confirms theirs when they accept it. Both are recorded against that booking with the exact version that was shown.
These are drafts
No attorney has reviewed this wording yet. It is our own plain-English draft for the controlled beta, and it will be replaced by a reviewed version before any meaningful paid use. Nothing here is legal advice, and nothing here is insurance.

How a booking works, step by step
- 1. The renter sends a request with dates. Nothing is reserved yet.
- 2. The owner accepts or declines. Owners are never obliged to accept.
- 3. Both people sign the agreement for that booking, each typing their own name. The exact wording is frozen and stored with the signature, so a later change cannot rewrite what was agreed.
- 4. The item is handed over, used and returned in the condition it was collected in.
- 5. Money is settled according to the rules below.
A signature is a record, not a technical lock: WildGrid shows when an agreement is outstanding but does not physically prevent a handover between two adults.
Money, cancellation and payout rules
Read live from the same policy the booking agreements use, so this page cannot drift from what people actually sign.

Damage, disagreements and disputes
- 1. Talk first. Most problems are a late return or a small scuff. Message each other on the booking; that conversation is kept with the booking record.
- 2. Photograph it. Condition at handover and at return is the evidence that settles almost every disagreement, so take photos both times.
- 3. Raise it formally. Open a dispute on the booking, or use the incident form linked from Trust & safety if someone was hurt or in danger. Either one creates a dated record we can read.
- 4. We review what is recorded. WildGrid reads the booking, the signed agreement, the messages and the photos, and writes down a decision on the owner payout hold.
- 5. Beyond that, it is between the two of you. WildGrid is not an insurer, not an arbitrator and not a court. We hold no damage fund. Serious loss or injury is a matter for your own insurance, the police or the courts.
There is no active damage cover on this marketplace. What is and is not protected is set out on the Insurance & cover page.
